MATERIEL GRADUATE SCHEME,
DEFENCE MATERIEL ORGANISATION
The Materiel Graduate Scheme is the Defence Materiel Organisation's (DMO) graduate program. The DMO is part of the Department of Defence. Our purpose is to equip and sustain the Australian Defence Force. DMO is the biggest manager of physical assets in Australia, with an annual budget of $6.5 billion in acquisition and through life support contracts, for specialised military assets worth $50 billion. If DMO was a private firm it would be one of the largest on the Australian Stock Exchange.
We are responsible for over 240 major projects and phases including sustaining and improving the Collins-class submarines; the acquisition and support of Bushranger infantry mobility vehicles; and the Joint Strike Fighter project.
Our vision is to become the leading program management and engineering services organisation in Australia. Our goal is to deliver capability and sustainment on time, on budget and to the required capability, safety and quality.
We need a skilled and capable workforce to meet these goals. The Materiel Graduate Scheme is a high profile program to assist our workforce requirements. In particular we want graduates with either commercial or engineering qualifications from the following disciplines.
